Air Purifiers
Please choose from a Air Purifiers sub category below or to the left.
Dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and dust mite feces can act as allergens, triggering allergies in sensitive people. Smoke particles and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can pose a risk to health. Exposure to various components such as VOCs increases the likelihood of experiencing symptoms of sick building syndrome.
Additionally, with the advancement in technology, air purifiers are becoming increasingly capable of capturing a greater number of bacterial, virus, and DNA particulates. Air purifiers are used to reduce the concentration of these airborne contaminants and though very useful for people who suffer from allergies and asthma
Technological and scientific studies are finding that poor air quality is more a contributing factor of some forms of cancer, respiratory illnesses, COPD, and other pulmonary infections and illnesses. They also reduce the need for frequent room and area cleaning. Air purifiers use a small amount of electrical energy, causing a small amount of expense and environmental effect.
Which Air Purifier Do I Need?
Step 1. Decide if you need an Ionizer, Hepa Filter or Air Sterilizer by reading the differences below.
Step 2. Now, click on a sub-category from your chosen section on the left to view it in greater detail and select a unit.
An Ionizer?
Ionizer air purifiers are generally inexpensive, but also the least effective air purifiers because they simply make the particles fall to the surface in the room. All of our infrared saunas include an Ionizer.
A Hepa Filter?
Hepa Filter air purifiers offer far better air cleaning efficiency than Ionizers ( although do tend to be a little more expensive). One downside of a Hepa filter unit however is the noise factor which some people do find to be an intrusion. The more expensive Hepa machines like the Airion tend to be quieter than the mass produced cheaper ones. Also with any Hepa based machine, you will need to replace the filters when required to keep the air cleaning efficiency at it's highest level. Furthermore, our Airion units use a 13-stage HEPA filtration system which is unrivalled and these units are very effective at removing household dust, pet dander and hair.
Or an Air Steriliser?
Air Sterilisers like the Airfree range clean the air to the highest possible degree and even destroy virus and bacteria. They are also completely silent in operation and have no filters to replace. The downside of an Air Steriliser is the fact that they do not remove paticles such as dust and hair, however the sterilised air and savings in not having to replace filters is definately a huge benefit.
To summarise, if you want an all in one, top of the range machine that sterilises the air and removes household dust, pet dander and hair go with an Airion unit. If you want a more basic unit to just sterilise the air go with an Airfree unit.
