Description
Harvia Kelo sauna – Step into the Northern sauna atmosphere.
Harvia Kelo sauna gathers together the special features of kelo-wood, sub-wood, Legend heater and traditional craftsmanship along with a handmade window and door with wrought-iron hinges. The measurements are – given traditionally from the middle of the logs – width 2900 mm, depth 2450 mm + terrace 1500 mm. The diameter of the kelo-wood is 180–240 mm. You can choose either a Legend electric sauna heater or a Legend 300 woodburning stove with steel chimney.
Kelo-wood is a snag, a standing dead pine tree. The bark has peeled off in the course of time. The log has got silver grey colour in the harsh and cold conditions of Karelian wilderness. Kelo-wood is usually several hundreds years old.
The benches, floor and ceiling are made of sub-wood. Logs that were lost during timber floating time and have been lying in the bottom of lakes and rivers for decades are now being lifted up and used in wood industry. Sub-wood has special characteristics because of the long time in water: it is harder and does not break or shrink. It has a slightly red tint.
The Kelo sauna delivery includes all the necessary materials to complete the sauna from above the foundation: wood materials, roofing, fastening materials etc. Installation is included in the price, also we hire a sauna specialist from Finland to assist our UK team for a true Finnish, finish.

Heater Options
Option A: The Legend woodburning stove gives you the ultimate sauna experience. The black steel frame has a mighty amount of stones inside, and as they heat up, you get a magnificent sauna bath even at a lower temperature. The large number of stones ensures good heat, even if the fire dies down in between.
The Legend stoves have a modern grate structure that enables the wood to burn more efficiently and cleanly. The smaller than usual safety distances from the side and back surfaces to burning materials enable you to locate the benches more freely. The Legend stoves can be equipped with a pipe-mounted water heater as this has a 24kW output.
The steel chimney is an easy to install stylish chimney solution. The steel chimney can withstand large temperature changes. Its timeless, rounded design combined to its steel surface makes it a pleasure to look at. Since the outer casing and inner tube are made out of stainless steel, the product is durable and maintains its appearance for decades.
Option B: The electric Legend 16.5kW with digital control panel gives you the ultimate sauna experience. This large heater takes you back to the origins – it entails the essence of the sauna. The patinated steel frame has 220 kg of stones inside and as they heat up, even a larger saunas get magnificent heat. Due to the open structure of the stone space, you can throw water on the entire outer surface of the heater. The heat charged in the large number of stones allows you to throw more water even at a lower temperature – you’ll get a delightfully moist bathing experience.
